"Rina's Story"

Lord of the Storm is my all-time favorite book, bar none -- I think I've read it more than 50 times! And, of course, I love Sky Pirate as well. I know you've talked about doing a sequel about Shayla's and Califa's children, but I've wanted to know Rina's story since the first time I read Sky Pirate. If there's anything your fans can do to convince your publisher that these books are critical to our future well being, just let us know.

I'd like you to know also that anytime I hear someone disparage romance books, I give them your name and list of titles. Your writing skills are exceptional by ANYBODY's standards!

   I second that!

Anything, we the reader, can do?

I can't believe there aren't more posts like these. We definitely need a petition of some sort. For their children's and Rina's story. Something MUST Be DONE!!!!
I'm feeling, not only jipped, but also very disgruntled towards the "publisher". That really isn't any way to keep loyal readers coming back to them.
How can I make this any more appearant to the "publisher"?

*agravated screaming and nashing of teeth*

Here is even a quote from a review online:
It seemed as if Justine Davis was planning on writing a third novel in the series, about Rina, the young Triotian rescued by Dax. Apparently, however, the publisher decided there wasn’t the right market for additional Trios novels - what a disappointment! I’m still hoping to see more of this futuristic world someday.
------- Susan Scribner

Shows you how much a publisher knows!
*howling anguish* Oh! How might I wreak havoch upon the publisher?!?! so that they may see the light....

Here is another piece of a review on a different web site:
I highly recommend this two great sci fi romances and like another reader mentioned I would like to see a romance on Rina or a romance that finally puts an end to the evil Coalition.

Just to emphasize the new point I appreciated being brought out in this comment: a book.....
That Finally Puts an End to the Evil Coalition!

Yet another quote from a review:
the story is a good and enjoyable read. I especially love the last few chapters. I think that the ending came too soon, and I still haven't gotten enough of it! I hope that Ms. Davis would write a story on Rina!
--------Philippines

Take That!!! You Wicked Publisher!

and Ms. Davis creates a universe that stands on its own. Brava! I just hope I can get my hands on a copy of Lord of the Storm...and I can't wait for her next foray into scifi/romance. Keep it up!

I just wish I could find the publisher's web site so I can tell them all this more directly.

   Hey, "AlysonzSpoiler", calm down!

First off, those comments date back more than twelve years, and a lot has changed in the publishing world since then. Justine no longer writes for that publisher and hasn't for several years. In fact, that publisher doesn't even exist in the form it did when Lord of the Storm and SkyPirate were published, so there's nobody left there to complain =to=.

Now, on the upside, the good news is Justine has the rights back to the two books. The trickier part is finding a publisher who would be willing to reprint the books and then contract for additional books. I've heard that Luna, an adjunct of Silhouette (who Justine already writes for) publishes books similar to these. In fact, I believe Justine even knows the executive editor at Luna, Mary-Theresa Hussey, so that might be a good place for you to direct your suggestions. Silhouette is very responsive to reader feedback.

Sis

Just one more thing. Is there a story yet for their kids? What's it called? Can I get it from online?

Any forward movement on getting more futuristics from Justine? I just reread LOTS AGAIN (probably the 65th time) and am rereading Sky Pirate now. And it REALLY makes me want more Trios stories. So, Sis, since you seem to be in the know, is Luna still a possible publisher?
